And if you prefer to make a donation via check. Please make it payable to “Dark Skies, Inc.” and mail it to P.O. Box 634 Westcliffe, CO 81252. Please be sure to add a note in the memo line if you would like it to be dedicated to the STEM fund.

Expand your donation: from November 15 to December 31 each year, the Wet Mountain Valley Community Foundation conducts its annual Spirit Campaign to support local non-profits, like Dark Skies. The foundation matches (usually at a rate about 25%) your donation! Example: your donation is $100, so the foundation gives Dark Skies $125. You can give to other non-profits at the same time. To make a donation, visit their Donations page (scroll down to the bottom). The STEM Fund is a also a choice in the Spirit Campaign

Preserve

Since 1999, Dark Skies Inc. has helped citizens and businesses replace light polluting fixtures with shielded units that direct the necessary light downwards. We also work directly with the local community to provide information on what actions they can take to preserve our amazing night sky.

The Smokey Jack Observatory hosts one of the most powerful telescopes in Colorado. You can experience the wonder and beauty of the universe like few other places in the world! We host public star parties throughout the year that are free and open to the public. You can also book a private night, for free, hosted by one of our trained, Star Guides.
